Imagine

Photos from the November Not Church gathering by the multi-talented Erin Dunigan.  We had a new musical guest, Eli sharing original compositions and accompanying Choir-oke on “Imagine.”  They were pretty great with Barbara, Mary Elizabeth, a guest guitarist and of course, the effervescent Ellyn with her new speaker.  (Thanks, Bruce Haye.) Martina reminded us what Thanksgiving is really about, Nadine led a meditation on letting go of all the things that keep us from living life in peace. And Erin, told us another story about how we got “here” with a very happy ending for Carlos who was gifted the wheelchair that belonged to the originator of our gatherings, Gary Wilburn.  We have much for which to be Thankful!

We’re Back

It was good to be back at Poco Cielo.  Contributions by Steve, Erin, Tracy, Gail, & Ron surrounding the theme of Leonard Cohen’s “Anthem” definitely rang some bells.  Choir-oke led by Ellyn inspired and encouraged with three renditions of this provocative song.

Join us at Not Church Norte on Wednesday, September 26–back at the Beach Comber restaurant.

Understanding Enneagram – Introduction

August 11 and August 18  2:00 to 4:00pm
Hosted by Anna Zimmerman with Bodhi Martina

The study of the Enneagram points quite clearly to the pragmatic reasons why we sometimes struggle or feel discontent. It simply points the way into looking deep enough under the layers of conditioning to find our true nature. It clarifies who we are IN our day to day lives, what serves our inner awakening and what does not. It naturally follows that we will understand others and what causes habitual misunderstanding. Suddenly relationships begin to make sense and compassion has a chance to grow.

In the practice of Enneagram we learn to drop the blame for our fate and take a clear look inward using the map of the nine personality types. This map, developed over the centuries, is a system of self-observation and enquiry. Understanding the Enneagram is a practical guide.

Those who are serious about introducing this powerful tool of well-being and support into their lives are invited to two free introductory Enneagram workshops to be held in the La Misión area, one on August 11 and the other on August 18 from, both are from 2:00 to 4:00pm.
